Our football season started on the first weekend in April. After a few long months of training, recruiting and preparation the juniors and men’s teams finally got on the oval and played footy. In 2019 we will have 8 home games and we would love to see locals come along and watch good quality local footy.

Our AGM is on 20 March. We welcome any members of the Community to come along, get involved and have your say. Each year we barely break even, costs are always going up and we struggle to maintain our assets. The last thing we want to do is hand over the grounds to the council or be forced to lock the site and only open for members.

Well Cherry Chatter readers the football season is fast approaching, and our senior players are already well into the pre-season training. The 2018 season was really a great success for the club and we are hoping and working towards 2019 being at least as good. Our Seniors are keen for “back to back” premierships.

At the moment there is a lot of earthworks going on (thanks to Moons Earthmoving and Concrete) including a new retaining wall that was needed to hold in the Softfall and new drainage and a lot of dirt removed in readiness for the new equipment that will be installed later in November. There are also new concrete paths.

Exciting times at the football club as we near the end of the season. Very good chance that all our teams, with the exception of our U12 lads, will play finals and with only 2 games left of the minor round (as of August 7th) it looks very promising that the B’s will finish on top of the ladder and the A’s at least in second place and both these are great results for our club and the players.
