Hall News

Thanks to those who attended the Community Campfire on August 25th. The Community Campfire will be a regular function at the hall each year, around the end of August or early September. It is a great night, and an opportunity for the community to share some time together.

Vale Max Ricks

Max Ricks was born in 1931 in the very house where he lived for his entire life and on the 13th of September 2018 he passed away suddenly in that house after spending the morning down in the gardens. Football Club

Playing sport (and for us playing football) is a great way to spend time together as a community and of course everything feels better when you are winning. This year our club has come away with 2 Premierships which is an outstanding effort for the players, members and supporters.

Spring has Sprung, and our Winter sports are almost over + Home cooked meals will continue to be served on Thursday nights during Cricket and Summer Netball Seasons, take a night off, drop in for a meal and say G’day! The Pastor of the Cherry Gardens Uniting Church, Margaret Seyfang, has advised the congregation of her intention to resign from the position from 30 September. Margaret and husband Lyle have been loyal supporters of Cherry Church and the community, attending and helping at a number of community events.
