The Friends of Scott Creek CP started its bird banding program in 1993, making it one of the longest running, continuous bird banding programs in the region. One or two weekends each month, a small group of us get together in the park at sunrise to set up five to seven mist nets.

Read MoreIn July 2014 the Friends of Scott Creek commenced the ten year Almanda Project, to restore rare and beautiful native habitat within Scott Creek Conservation Park, with a particular focus on the eight headwater creek systems of the Scott Creek sub-catchment. We hold an Open Day in autumn each year to showcase our progress with the Almanda Project, and this year it will be held on Sunday 6th May.
