The Cherry Gardens Memorial Hall Committee has, as one of its main objectives, the running of a number of functions each year to provide an opportunity for the local community to come together. Last year the dinner was a sell-out, and we had many encouraging comments from those who attended. Read MoreWhat a turnout we had last month for our third annual Open Day, showcasing our Almanda Project. On a perfect autumn day, we had a crowd of 400 to 500 people come along to enjoy a day in the park, including many family groups.

Within the space of two days we were contacted about the welfare of 7 possums, two Tawny Frogmouths, a Boobook owl and a Barn Owl! It had apparently been a full moon and the wildlife were responding to it!
