Recreation Ground
Welcome to our regular Recreation Ground update.
The time has come again to clean your chimneys and stoke the fire. Our winter sports are well underway. It’s been a great start for all our respective clubs.
Volunteer opportunity
While you are sitting there by the fire, I wanted to reach out and ask for some help. Do you know anyone that is an expert with Microsoft PowerPoint and preparing professional presentations? Someone that likes networking, is passionate and wants to help us to continue development of the Recreation Ground. Volunteer work is rewarding and can very be beneficial for your career development too. With the upcoming Federal Election, it has been suggested to the Committee that we prepare a plan or “pitch deck” to take to Local Government, State Government and finally Federal Government, asking for a grant to upgrade the Recreation Ground Facilities. This may include the Female friendly changerooms as previously mentioned but will not be limited to just that. You will have exposure to Local, State and Federal Politicians and representatives as we present the “pitch deck” to each group.
If you are interested, I would like to hear from you. My number is 0417 848 696 or feel free to come along to a Committee meeting, held the third Wednesday of each month at 7.30 pm in the clubrooms.
Alternatively, if you have any ideas for the development of the Rec Ground, please also let us know.
On a disappointing note, we have had some graffiti sprayed around the site and on a roller door. As you walk the dogs or drive past the Recreation Ground, please keep your eyes open, and if you see any suspicious behaviour, take note of registration, call one of the committee or even the Police if you witness something.
Thanks again
