Letter to the editor

Last Sunday, (April 25th 2021) we were invited to attend a small memorial service at Cherry Gardens to remember the landing at Anzac Cove and our Anzac soldiers at Gallipoli.  We would like to commend the Committee on conducting a moving and reflective ceremony that encompassed all of the Anzac Story and extended to include all Service Personnel who have given their lives in action. 

While COVID had restricted the Committee’s ability to have a full commemoration, the simplicity of the service and accompanying music made for those who were there, a memorable event, emotive and heartfelt.

We were very touched by how the Committee members included all of us who were there as part of the ceremony and this truly reflected the spirit of the community of Cherry Gardens.
