Football Club
Well the football season is fast approaching and by the time you read this we will have finished our pre-season training program and had our Trial games against Christies Beach football club.
In 2018 we will be fielding 2 Senior men’s teams, a senior women’s team, U18, U14, U12, 2 Modified Junior teams (U10, U8), U16 girls and we will be running the Auskick programs at Coromandel and Hawthorndene Primary schools.
Training has been going very well and there is a really good feeling around the club. With all the summer sports nearly done for this season we are now in the transition between the sporting codes but by the end of March we will be fully into the winter sports with football and netball in full swing.
The first home game will be on April 7th against Kersbrook and we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of our last A Grade premiership, which was also played against Kersbrook.
"Members" day
April 7th will also be our “Members” day where we offer complimentary food and drinks to all those supporters who have taken out membership prior to the start of the season. If you are interested in taking out a season membership which only costs $75 then this will get you free entry to all home games (value $72) plus discounts for functions and merchandise, a free meal on Saturday nights, member’s pack and 6 free drink vouchers. Below is the program for the 2018 season and hope to see you at the club to watch some really good and enjoyable local football. A reminder that there is training on most nights at the club and we offer meals on Thursday night and on most Saturday nights the club is open for a meal and drinks, hopefully to celebrate a win. 2018 Football fixtures are on the following page.

IRONBANK CHERRY GARDENS GIRLS FOOTBALL NEW U16 PLAYERS NEEDED
The Ironbank Cherry Gardens Football Club has an U16 Girl’s side looking for a few additional players. Last year our girls played in the SANFL competition but this year we have joined the Hills Football League so we will be playing clubs that our boys play against.
If there are any girls out there that would like to give it a try this year, we would love to hear from you. The girls train on Mondays and we have a very family friendly and culture of fair play and participation.
