Join Sarah from Vada Blue for an introduction to tapestry loom weaving on Tuesday 12th of March from 10am till 2.00pm

This workshop is ideal for complete beginners or those wanting a refresh and to create amongst others.

Our workshop will run for Approx 4 hours in Cherry Gardens at the Community Hall on Cherry Gardens Road. During this time you will be guided through the basics of tapestry weaving from start to finish. On completion you will have created a small bespoke woven wall hanging to take home using yarn and fibres that you have chosen.

What you'll learn:

• How to warp your loom.

• An introduction to weaving terms, tools and accessories

• Learn a variety of Weaving techniques and knots such as twining, tabby, soumak among others

• Tips and tricks for success

• Securing and removing your weave from the loom.

• Hanging your tapestry
