Marion Riding Club Update
Sunday 28/3/21 was the second event training day under our new committee on our grounds in Working Equitation with Michele Meijer.
There was an enthusiastic attendance of 17 horses/riders. Included various breeds, heights and abilities.
The activities were designed to be inclusive regardless of differences, and with the help of Michele all combinations were able to work on improving their performances.
The focus for the day was working with obstacles and how to best negotiate them. Some examples included a water jump, cattle pen, Aussie pick up, cans and slaloms.
The club plans to follow this up with more structured days in smaller groups and focussing on fewer obstacles and techniques.
