Clarendon Agricultural Bureau

The Clarendon Branch of the Agricultural Bureau March 2019 meeting was an open discussion by the group on the 2019 Grape Vintage. Most grape growing members advised that their yields were down significantly, but the quality was extremely good. While a few grape growing members said vintage was slightly down on expectations however, the quality was very good. The meeting continued with an opportunity for members to talk about their ancestors and how they arrived in Australia. One particular story related to a member’s parents and grandparents and how they were treated by the Russians which caused them to flee their native country and eventually settle in Australia. This story was extremely interesting and very moving.
